Life’s a beach! At least in the summer. The Odds enjoy a break for some splashy fun, when their schedule allows. While often at the Clothes-Optional places, The Odds are not discriminating – as long as there are good vibes!

This visual here is by tulio19mx, based on pencils by yours truly. The other characters actually don’t appear in the story (oops), so this should be seen more as a teaser, rather than a cover, as I started this before I did the comic. But I think tulio did a fabulous job, don’t you agree??

These Young Protectors were originally conceived as a marketing ploy, models and teen actors that could go to PR events as the supposed understudies, while the “real” Protectors would fly around saving the world.
Never was it truly planned to bring them into the proper team once they completed their training. But these young individuals have feelings and ambitions, too, and dream of heroic acts, of being a true inspiration for the young population!
So much so, that a previous third member literally “exploded” from feeling disrespected. While that third member has been MIA, these two have tried to carry on as well as they can. Let’s wish them luck!
Kate Kerrigan became Director of the government Department for Superheroics through a bit of luck, but she has proven her worth since.
After her predecessors’ two fairly unsuccessful attempts to form a government-sponsored super-team of titanic strength, she has put together a smaller team, but with some high-profile and quite popular heroes. This has boosted the Protectors’ popularity and the public’s trust in the institution.

Meanwhile, in today’s post here, Ms. Kerrigan can be seen with two of her four All-New, All-Different Protectors: Max Atom, field leader of the team and a famous hero originally from Earth-K, and Terry Tornado, the former sports star and part-time spokesperson for BoFlex products, look like they are on their way to an important meeting, perhaps hearing about their next mission. Let’s wish them luck, and Godspeed! We’re counting on you!

A special transmission from the BEHOLDERverse! Some Odds seem to have gotten themselves into some simian-related shenanigans. In a dark alley of an undisclosed warehouse area in one of the outer boroughs of New York City, they are holding their own though, using all the special capacities at their disposal. Aside from regular “Odds” Merv the Griffin and Captain Evening, we’re featuring the speedster “Rush” (by Johann-Octavia Gans”, and “Lady Venus” by Jay Epps, with much gratitude!
The following story is a bit of a follow-up to an older adventure where these three were defeated and captured by the ultra-powerful Lady Wyvern (during the “Super-Bachelor” Saga). Since then, there seems to be an invisible bond between them!
