Coming from the future to become a super-hero in our time, he is initially an attention-seeking showboater who seeks out fame and fortune. But over the time he evolves beyond that, seeing that with great power etc etc


Created by Dan Jurgens for DC in the 80s, this oddball super-dude is proof that new characters can endure. He was great in the Giffen / DeMatteis / Maguire JLA series. He is no Superman, but he is still around today, and even made it into the Justice League cartoons and the Smallville TV series.

Banner for NY Comic Con 2013

I'll be at New York Comic Con's Artist Alley again this year, (Oct 10th-13) and also at the fabulous Comic Arts Brooklyn (Nov 9th). In addition, there will be a large solo-show at the German Consulate.

To celebrate all this, I created this dynamic image  for a large banner. It's in production now, I hope this will turn out ok!

Jenny Everywhere and Jimmy Wherever

As mentioned in earlier posts here and here, there are a few support characters for Jenny Everywhere on the Public Domain Superheroes Wiki, one if which is Jimmy Wherever, here “principal love interest”. He’s created by Carter-Ethan Rankin, and of course free to use by anyone.

I’m not sure of I’ll use Jimmy for an actual comics project, but Jenny is core cast member of my web-comic and zine Tales To Behold, which I'm running twice weekly here on this blog.

The characters of Jenny Everywhere and Jimmy Wherever are available for use by anyone, with only one condition. This paragraph must be included in any publication involving Jenny Everywhere and Jimmy Wherever, in order that others may use this property as they wish. All rights reversed.

Jenny Anywhere

I’ve been using the Public Domain / Open Source character Jenny Everywhere aka The Shifter for my comic Tales To Behold for a while now.

Recently, Carter-Ethan Rankin has created some side-characters for her and also declared them public domain. I found his variation called Jenny Anywhere visually intriguing. So here’s another piece of her. Color design of the character is by yours truly.
