And there we have it! A meeting of two Shifters, apparently! For Ms Anywhere, it is a stroke of luck that they were both shifting at the same time! Hopefully, she’ll get some answers from her more experienced counterpart.

Both Jennys have a lot of questions about their current situation. The identity questions of J. Everywhere might have to wait, for the moment…

Ballad of Anywhere P10: Dynamic Escape

Will you look at this dynamic escape on a dynamic page! Our new Jenny is able to slip out of her window and down the fire escape. Unfortunately, her cries for help are not heeded by anyone… In fact, she’s cut off by yet another of the strange visitors! Yet thankfully, at the last second, she disappears yet again in a shift of energy!

 

Ballad Anywhere P09: Word of Warning

 

Obviously, Jenny’s cat is not in the habit of answering her in human speak. So the danger must be extraordinary! Or, this is just one of those strange occurrences, like in the Prologue of our story.

In any case, some absurd characters are suddenly in Anywhere’s kitchen, giving her pussy-cat the second scare of the day! And not just him!

Even after a generous dose of morning hanky-panky, our Shifter is still lacking memories associated with this timeline.

Like with computers, she figures a restart should be the first thing to try!

Some foreboding figures with interesting shapes, and an unexpected SHIFT! How is this possible! Jenny Anywhere’s kitty doesn’t seem to know, either. At least the critter gets some calming head scritches, while Jenny is faced with some head scratching mysteries…

The Bank may say yes, but Jenny Anywhere says no, and takes off to end her shift a little early. Steamed and distracted, she might notice a bit too late, that a car is heading into her path! Oh no! Is this already the end of our brand-new character??

She’s been seen in other comics, on Public Domain Wikis, and stand-alone art… but this is the first time we see her canonically in the BEHOLDERverse stories. We present: Jenny Anywhere.

Happy New Year in the Western Hemisphere, whatever you may be out there. Meanwhile, back in our story, we should give these two some privacy, to get (re-)aquainted… Such is the life of a trans-and multidimensional being! Your existence never gets boring, but you also have to “roll with the punches”, as that say…

The Ballad of Anywhere P02: The Return of Jenny Everywhere

At long last, a comic a decade in the making. This was drawn when your BEHOLDER was still a younger and healthier cosmic being, drawing his pages larger, cramming more detail in them, and drawing straighter lines.

Bringing back Jenny Everywhere was planned much sooner, but somehow I always had shorter, quicker stories to share. Preparing over 20 pages of story seemed daunting… But here we finally are!

The acknowledgments at the bottom of the page may not be complete… I just did them recently. Suffice to say, there are many great versions of Jenny Everywhere that inspired me, and I apologize for any omissions!

BrainTank P9: The Beginning of a Wonderful New… Residence?

 

Emerald Valkyrie and The Odds have gained a valuable new ally! And Mr Stevens does not let any negative experiences spoil his first impression of this potential new place if residence. LITTLE DOES HE KNOW… DUN DUN DUN!! It speaks for the tech sector that some of these engineers and scientists ended up staying with Dr Brain… Not!

Next time, we start a new story! Who will star in this latest little caper?? Watch this space!

BrainTank P8: You Say Tomato, I Say Potato…

To save his building and his killer-drones from further damage, Dr Brain enters negotiations with the present Odds. Can he talk his way out of this precarious situation? Jung-La seems optimistic about a peaceful resolution!

BrainTank P7: Action-Packed Action

Our new hero, Jetstar, saves the co-leader of The Odds, our other friends smash some killer drones– everything is going splendidly when Dr Brain interrupts the proceedings. I guess that’s why we call him a villain.

BrainTank P6: Dastardly Deadly Drones

 

Dr Brain is not easily impressed and sends a squadron of deadly drones to attack our heroes and the new combatant. Their attack shows immediate effect , co-leader Emerald Valkyrie is knocked off her ride, at a breakneck height!

BrainTank P5: Jetstar !

 

Exit Mr Stevens, Enter: Jetstar! (No relation) While Dr Brain is trying to prevent a repeat of building damages (like what happened during the attack of the Combinator), a new hero enters the scene, to the surprise of everybody!  

BrainTank P4: New Odds Enter The Fray!

 

Is it possible? We forgot a page! Here it is in all its glory, inserted into the natural order of things. Forget everything you read before, we didn’t mean it! Now THIS, is where the action is!

Our new friend Stevens is in a pickle: nobody wants to help an evil mastermind to make millions of dollars, or even to conquer the world! But he also has to look out not to get “cut” from the workforce so early. He’s playing for time, apparently…
