The Evil Dr Brain And The (New) Wicked Witch

As his daughter Jesse is now teaming up with the good Captain Evening, (and more) there has been a vacancy in Dr Brain's team of Villains. Jesse's best frenemy Alicia has been more than eager to fill that spot (and more). First team shot with Alicia as the Wicked Witch was here.

Black Widow, HellCat and Scarlet Witch

Don't forget to swing by my tumblr, where I post other super-hero related stuff like drawings of classic Marvel characters. Here's one of Black Widow (in her 80s costume), HellCat and Scarlet Witch, you can see it on tumblr here.

It’s time for our next story! Could it be? Is Dr Brain starting a new, deadly… StartUp??? Are we getting a brand-new hero in this little yarn? Alicia the Wicked Witch seems to agree! Our Odd superheroes… not so much! Stay tuned, True Believer!!

New Good Girl

Also on tumblr

Readers of Tales To Behold might recognize her from her appearance on last week's page– this superhero lady is revealed as Dr Brain's ex-wife and Wicked Witch Jesse's mother. Seems Dr. Brain still has some fondness for her. And the end of that page shows some ambiguity as to what actually happened…

Now I just need to find a name for her– I think it might be White Light, because she is so goodie-good!

And we see Dr. Brain's daughter again, Jesse, who's studying Witchcraft at NYU.
Cool under pressure, and has always a wise crack (or spell) handy. Goes by Wicked Witch.

Unraveling P03: Ladies Night Out

As faithful follower of our extraordinary exploits, of course you’ve recognized the heroic White Light, her daughter Jesse Brain, and the villainous Wicked Witch Alicia (her best frenemy). Admittedly, this page was drawn quite a while ago, when Jesse was still wearing her wicked vestments, and her hair a bit shorter.

Tales To Behold 6, Page 19: The Sleepover Part 2

We're continuing to explore the romantic misadventures of Dr Brain
(For "The Sleepover" Part 1, click here)
So this is his ex-wife, (named "White Light") apparently a super-heroine and mother of the Wicked Witch.

Toxic Doxie

June Covington aka Toxic Doxie, originally created by Kelly Sue DeConnick and Emma Rios, as she appeared in the second incarnation of the Dark Avengers and in the Thunderbolts (Vol1) series, where she filled the role of the Scarlet Witch.

She has genetically altered her body to produce certain poisons and chemicals, and is a genius level bio chemist.

Really enjoyed that Thunderbolts run by Jeff Parker, he does great team books with oddball characters. I’ve also drawn her
more recent costume from the Avengers Assemble comic series.

BrainTank P2: A New Thinktank Venture

The “incredibly handsome”, “genius” C.E.O. of the brand-new “BrainTank” venture is none other than are old friend, Dr Brain! And his charming assistant is, of course, Alicia the current Wicked Witch! Nobody could have foreseen such a twist! Our scientists are in the clutches of evil!

Cozy Reading Nook

On a rainy day, Jesse Brain found a nice cozy nook at the Fortress of Evening, with a hot brew and a good book. (Click to enlarge)

Jesse is the daughter of arch villain Dr Brain, and formerly part of his gang as the Wicked Witch. At some point, she renounced her villainous ways and identity, partially because she was usurped by her best frenemy Alicia.

She hooked up with her daddy’s biggest enemy, the heroic Captain Evening and henceforth has been living with the heroes at their headquarters. She has not joined the Captain’s team as a heroine (yet), and is mostly just drifting in limbo, trying to figure out her future. And enjoying the good life.

Armagedda and more villains

Bonus art! Armagedda, powerful cosmic destroyer stranded on planet earth, in all her glory!

Remember, she got tricked by Mysto the Space-Wizard, into not destroying Earth. So she is trying it with more subtle means. Sometimes, she gets tricked into going on a date with the worst man in the world.

Plus, a rendering by DeviantArtist tulio19mx of the entire gang of villains from Tales To Behold–
Wicked Witch, Captain Perfect, Insecto, Dr Brain, Red Vicious, Jenny Nowhere and Armagedda! Thanks Tulio!
