Even after a generous dose of morning hanky-panky, our Shifter is still lacking memories associated with this timeline.

Like with computers, she figures a restart should be the first thing to try!

What is this?? Dr Brain and his wild bunch of super-villains appear on the scene, ganging up on our heroine! But they don’t want to fight (supposedly), but to… make questionable proposals? What are they planning to discuss with Ms Perfect, in her current vulnerable position?

Part of this World P9: Most Spectacular Escape

Wait a minute– did we miss anything? How come we didn’t see that most spectacular rescue? “Foul!” we cry! At least we have one more appearance by Centennia, joining her friends and extended multiversal family. And yes, she IS asking and thinking about Ms Perfect!

Alas, our other protagonist is not aware of it, and seems at a very low point…

 

Part of this World P8: Bloc Party (with “c”)

It comes to show, you cannot trust search engines making blanket descriptions about entire neighborhoods, and that even mischievous individuals with dubious occupations love their neighborhood. Thus, Ms Perfect *still* hasn’t been able to perform even one heroic task.

Part of this World P7: Deadly Straggler

Finally, these “Ski Maskers” are getting some air again, while the police are getting ready to arrest them. But not all of them are grateful for the life-giving oxygen! And contrary to the information the Director if the bank has provided, they do have weapons very much out of the ordinary!

Thankfully, our mighty heroine jumps into action again very quickly, contains the explosion and prevents a bigger tragedy from happening. Centennia’s disappointment at the quality of the Director’s intel is quite understandable, though!

 

Part of this World P6: If She Only Knew!

Our young heroine is at a loss– sometimes you just can’t find some crime! So she decides on some extreme measures and hands out to the mysterious OUTER BOROUGHS!

Unfortunately she does not have such unrealistic powers like X-Ray vision, otherwise she may have seen that there is a reason for the lack of obvious criminal activities– many of the bad guys are indeed in a meeting with this new villain! And this INSTIGATOR has The Odds in his powerful grip! If Ms Perfect only knew!

 

Part of this World P5: Earth’s Most Powerful Hero

While the director watches Baby Claire, the alt-reality mother of Ms Perfect tackles the crisis in a way that only she can do. The BEHOLDER enjoyed the depiction of this scene with Centennia tremendously.

 

Part of this World P4: Robbery Gone Wrong

This one is for all the working moms out there!

And for bank robbers who lock themselves in a safe without considering that they may run out of air.

 

Part of this World P3: Secret Emergency

Our young heroine finds the Fortress of Evening mostly deserted, only one lone anthropomorphic rabbit is holding down the fort and the monitor room. Again, there’s nothing heroic or otherwise entertaining to do– seemingly!

If she only knew (a common thread in this tale, it seems)… if she only knew that Captain Evening and his team are trapped by some baddies, with no way to call out for help!

(In the last panel, we see Ionic Angel, Captain Evening, Emerald Valkyrie and The Living Skeleton with some unknown villains).

Part of this World P2: A Call for Help

In the top panel, we see our very own Captain Perfect and his equally super heroic girlfriend Jeanette, with who Cen has formed an unusual family unit. They are off for a romantic getaway, *And seemingly, Centennia’s magical nannies, the Misfits of Mischief in disguise, have a day off, too.

How will Earth’s Most Powerful Hero react to this call for help, with no babysitters in sight? If only our Ms Perfect knew… She is still flying through the city to find something heroic (or fun!) to do!

Part of this World P1: Missed Connections

Our latest caper begins! We have seen Ms Perfect, or Miss Perfect, at various occasions before. She was born in the future of a different reality, which may now be defunct. In that reality’s future, she was born as the daughter of Centennia and Captain Perfect, true superhero royalty!

After she grew up in that future world, she traveled back in time, to join the fight for Justice in their present. She then journeyed through the Nowherse with the Misfits of Mischief. Eventually, she ended up in our reality, where Centennia and Captain Perfect don’t have a daughter. Instead, these “alt reality non-parents” of hers are sort-of raising Cen and Kate Five’s child, and have different familial and personal relationships. Which brings emotional challenges for our prodigal protagonist…

Ms Perfect & Co in: Part of this World (Cover/ Teaser)

 NEXT: We’re beginning a brand-new story, hot off the drawing board: It tells the story of a young heroine from the future of a different reality struggling to fit into our world! But there’s a lot more! We introduce a new villain! A previously unexplored NYC borough! And we follow Centennia and daughter, to resolve a crisis only she can resolve! So much to look forward to!

This visual here is by tulio19mx, based on pencils by yours truly. The other characters actually don’t appear in the story (oops), so this should be seen more as a teaser, rather than a cover, as I started this before I did the comic. But I think tulio did a fabulous job, don’t you agree??
