Back at the Fortress of Evening, we find out that the Blue Knight’s Original first name was Denise (“Denise Dennis”? No wonder does she prefer the abbreviated just one name!), and that she was already separated from this supposed husband, when she left her old life behind. She sure is pleased to leave this conversation to help out Captain Evening and The Odds, but her new / old appendage is not easily disposed of. (We also revisit some interesting adventures from the beginning of The Odds’ careers, and the backstory of Dennis’ sword. We haven’t tried out its magical properties in quite a while!) |
