Red She-Hulk
Also on tumblr
As a kid, I made up my own super-heroes, who often were variations on the Marvel and DC characters. There were some original ones, other were straight rip-offs. For example I had a Hulk-ish character, and a She-Hulk-ish one as well. They were not green, but- red! So when red Hulk and red She-Hulk emerged in the Marvel universe, it was strange to see them, almost felt like- "Hey! Young Beholder had this idea first!" So here's Red She-Hulk in all her glory, enjoy...

Spider-Gwen
My take on Marvel's latest addition to the Spider-Man franchise, a Gwen Stacy that's bitten by a radioactive spider!

Centennia and Captain Perfect
Centennia and Captain Perfect used to be THE celebrity power couple in The BEHOLDER Universe. Their ups and downs were were chronicled in the tabloids and celebrity shows.
But he was always more interested in fame and fortune than super-heroics. He even went so far to stage a battle with a supposed evil robot, but was exposed and defeated, leading to their very public break-up.
Bitter about his defeat and public humiliation, he even joined Dr Brain's team of super-villains, leading to a fierce face-off between earth's two most powerful beings.
However, in the latest Tales To Behold 6, there seem to be signs of reconciliation… or at least revisiting past passions. Stay tuned for the next chapter in their turbulent story!

Terry Tornado and Friends
Sometimes, the auxiliary characters are almost more fun to draw than the main ones! These guys have had a long history in the BEHOLDER Universe, and sometimes have been called The B-Team!
Terry Tornado, former wrestler and part-time super-hero, first showed up in a short story in Journey Into Misery 3 and subsequently was part of the Singularity War in JIM 4, and helped defend the city as a spontaneously assembled super-team in Journey 5.
Mysto the Space-Wizard first appeared in Tales To Behold 1, where he tricked Armagedda into not obliterating earth.
Rodney Rabbit is resident super-scientist's Prof Madison's useless assistant and boyfriend, and first appeared in Journey Into Misery 2.
Finally, there is Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, former super-spies and how free agents, who had their first appearance in a short back-up story in Tales To Behold 1.
All of them fought or at least appeared together in the Singularity War in JIM4, and fought as a team to defend the city in JIM5.
If you like to know more about them, you can also pick up the printed comics at BirdCageBottom Books!

Jung-La Vs Robots
Also on tumblr
I love the idea of the jungle hero / heroine being a superhero and fighting alongside other dressed-up heroes in the concrete jungle of New York. That’s why I had her join my peculiar super-team Captain Evening and The Odds.
It reminds me of Pantha in Alan Moore and Peter Hogan's Terra Obscura, Ka-Zar and Shanna's appearance back in the New Ultimates, or the classic movie Tarzan's New York Adventure.
Jung-La has just debuted in Tales To Behold #6, available from BirdCageBottom Books.

Kate Five vs BEHOLDER Villains
For a while now, the artist who goes by the pseudonym cyberkitten01y on DeviantArt has been drawing a comic telling the story how his bad girl character Kate Five visits my heroes Captain Evening and The Odds. You can read the comic on his Deviant Art. It's a really fun romp and I love seeing how he draws my characters.
Inspired by this, I started thinking, what if Kate would be approached by my arch villain Dr Brain, trying to persuade her into joining his gang of super-villains. As you can see, it didn't go over so well…
