11 Freunde magazine cover

A very exciting project THE BEHOLDER worked on is now published: It's the cover for the 150th issue of the German soccer magazine 11 Freunde. The cover and several interior pieces show some super-coaches of the soccer world as heroic comic-book characters.

The piece was directly inspired by a page of Journey Into Misery 5, and even the mono-chromatic coloring is very similar to the Journey and Tales to Behold books. What a cool project, thanks to the entire team at 11 Freunde!

Jenny Anywhere

Working on a story introducing Jenny Anywhere into my BEHOLDER world. It might actually be a color story for the first time–

This is a study, from the beginning of the story, before she gets into the super-hero business and stuff.

Created by Carter-Ethan Rankin, she has the same basic public domain status as Jenny Everywhere, who she is based on: The character of Jenny Anywhere is available for use by anyone, with only one condition. This paragraph must be included in any publication involving Jenny Anywhere, in order that others may use this property as they wish. All rights reversed

She-Hulk

If you need to get a lawyer, why not get the best? Also, she can throw cars at your opponents.

Inspired by She-Hulks new series by Charles Soule and Javier Pulido, which is a visual treat in its simplicity and bold cartooning. And funny.

Jenny Anywhere, Jenny Everywhere, Rodney and Captain Evening

Here’s a super-group that is shifting into action! (click to enlarge)

Jenny Everywhere (aka The Shifter) and Jenny Anywhere, Rodney Rabbit and Captain Evening! Seemed like a fun group to randomly throw together for this pic.

Captain Evening and Jenny Everywhere can be seen in  Tales To Behold.
Rodney the Alcoholic Rabbit is from Journey Into Misery.
And Jenny Anywhere will definitely pop up in my stories in the future.

Rodney and Cap Evening created by me, but for the other guys remember:
The characters of Jenny Anywhere and Jenny Everywhere are available for use by anyone, with only one condition. This paragraph must be included in any publication involving Jenny Anywhere and Jenny Everywhere, in order that others may use this property as they wish. All rights reversed.

Centennia Flies Again!

She doesn’t appear in the just released Tales To Behold 5, but has a role in the currently running Journey Into Misery arc.
Even though she doesn’t look it, Centennia is over 100 years old, hence the name. A few other renditions of her can be found here and here.

Ready for SEASON 2 of The Beholder?

Tales To Behold 5 is here, and it continues the mis-adventures of the very odd super-team that includes a living skeleton, a griffin, and an immortal knight.

Our heroes are recovering from the earth-shattering developments that happened in Tales To Behold 4 and Journey Into Misery 5. But they don’t have much time for a breather, as their precious off-time gets rudely interrupted by some drug dealers with strange powers. And upon their return to the Big Apple, they get attacked by – their own shadows!

2-color Risograph wraparound cover with b&w interior on cream paper

Debuting at MoCCA Fest this weekend, and some of the great comic stores in NYC such as Desert Island, Forbidden Planet, Bergen Street Comics and Mysterious Island will have it soon after.

Or order it online from BirdCageBottom Books!
